Counseling for CouplesHow did you get here?
When you look at your relationship, it’s hard to recognize. The happy, fun-filled moments are few and far between and the arguments and resentment are everywhere. It seems like even the littlest things turn into full, “big issue” problems. You used to be able to talk to each other, to reach a good resolution and move on. Not anymore. You find yourself stuck in frustration, hurt, and hopelessness. Beyond that, you feel like you are becoming someone you don’t want to be in this relationship. You know something needs to change but you don’t know how to change it. You are still committed, but you need help.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist trained in Gottman Couples Therapy, I know relationships. I have been through hours of training specifically focused on learning how to work with and help improve struggling relationships. I will work with both of you in learning how to communicate your needs, connect with each other, and rekindle the friendship and romance you once had.
You wouldn’t be in this relationship if it wasn’t important to you. Stop spending time fighting with the most important person in your life. Spend time on the things that are really meaningful to you. Learn to be your truest self in your relationship while communicating your needs and desires to your partner. Don’t spend the rest of your life wishing for something to change.
